Powerhoster.com's data center operates two state-of-the-art data centers in Houston, Texas. Our facilities offer 100,000 square feet of web hosting space, and each features redundant UPS, generator backup and smoke detection/fire protection systems. Both locations are under 24/7 camera surveillance and armed guard patrol.

All of our servers are connected to the Internet through 14 Gigabit Ethernet links from six separate backbone providers. As of May 2004, we are home to over 20,000 web servers.

UPS System

That's an UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system in the top pic. We have five 375 KVA UPS units. Also pictured are our Liebert air conditioning systems. With just one system running at 20% of its capacity, the room is kept VERY cold. The units are alternated so that each one is kept in optimal condition. We believe in redundancy.
